Fine oil on canvas titled 'near Church Pool' signed by Daniel Sherrin; 1868-
1940. A fine example of this artist's landscape painting and contained in a fine
gilt swept frame. The painting has recently been cleaned and re-varnished
and is in fine condition with no tears, holes or overpainting. Daniel Sherrin
born in Essex, son of flower painter John Sherrin, studied under his father.
Though Daniel did not exhibit, he worked directly with galleries painting the
subjects they required. His works are now very much collected and this is a
very fine example of his landscape work. |
